Session Indicator – FX Replay Guide

The Session Indicator in FX Replay visually highlights specific trading sessions—London, New York, and Asia—directly on your chart. It helps you focus on high-probability trade windows while filtering out low-volume noise. Perfect for session-based strategies, timing setups, and accelerating backtesting.

How to Add It in FX Replay:

  1. Open your chart
Select your trading pair inside FX Replay.
  2. Click “Indicators” on the toolbar
This opens the searchable indicator list.
  3. Search for “Session Indicator by FX Replay”
    You’ll see two options:
    • Default (UTC)
    • NY Version (New York Time)
Pick the one that matches your session focus or local time zone.
  4. Customize the indicator
Click the gear icon next to the indicator to adjust:
    • Start and end times
    • Colors and line thickness
    • Visibility by timeframe
    • Show or hide sessions based on your trading approach
  5. Click “OK” to apply
Session blocks or lines will appear directly on your chart—clearly showing when each session begins and ends.

How to Use It in FX Replay:

Session-Based Strategies
Focus on setups that consistently work during London or New York sessions.

Session Filtering
Avoid low-probability trades by skipping hours outside active sessions.

Go-To Tool
Use FX Replay’s Go To feature to jump straight to session opens—perfect for speed-testing intraday strategies.

Pro Tip:

In FX Replay, the Session Indicator works best as a time-based filter—not just a visual aid. Combine it with:

  • Volume
  • Price action zones
  • VWAP
  • Liquidity sweeps
To lock in high-confluence entries during key market hours.
