Daye Quarterly Theory° Indicator by FX Replay
The Daye Quarterly Theory° Indicator is a dynamic time-mapping tool that plots repeating market cycles based on time, not price. Designed in collaboration with Daye (a student of ICT and creator of this theory), this indicator helps traders visualize the market in clearly defined Time Quarters across multiple timeframes—from yearly to intraday. It is especially powerful for traders using ICT-based concepts like PD Arrays, PO3, or session-based executions.
How It Works
The indicator divides time into four recurring phases:
- A – Accumulation
- M – Manipulation
- D – Distribution
- X – Reversal/Continuation
These quarters repeat in a fixed sequence but can be manually aligned starting from any phase depending on the trader’s model or observed context. The tool plots these cycles forward on your chart, enabling real-time planning, backtesting, and forward testing across market sessions and timeframes.
Supported Cycles
You can toggle and plot any of the following time-based cycles directly on your chart:
- Yearly Quarters – Based on financial quarters (e.g., Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun…)
- Monthly Quarters – Four-week structure aligned to Mondays
- Weekly Quarters – Monday to Thursday (Friday excluded for precision)
- Daily Quarters – Splits the 24-hour day into 6-hour sessions: Asia, London, NY, PM
- 90-Minute Quarters – Subdivides the daily quarters (e.g., 18:00–19:30, etc.)
- Micro Quarters – Breaks a 90-minute window into 22.5-minute blocks
Each cycle is anchored to a “True Open” for accurate alignment, typically based on futures and NY time. These divisions reflect consistent behavioral patterns across global markets.
How to Use It
- Add the indicator to your chart from the FX Replay indicator library.
- Use the Inputs tab to toggle specific time cycles (e.g., Daily, 90min, etc.).
- Adjust border colors or enable “Automatic” color mode for visual clarity.
- Set a maximum number of days to render historical cycles (e.g., 30 days).
Cycles are plotted as horizontal box overlays either:
- On the main chart (above or below price), or
- In a separate pane (top or bottom layout)
Additional settings let you:
- Control plot height
- Enable/disable cycle labels
- Choose where the indicator plots within your workspace (on chart or in pane)
Why Use It
This tool is ideal for:
- Traders using ICT methodology, Smart Money Concepts, or institutional frameworks
- Structuring tape reading, PO3 setups, and liquidity timing models
- Gaining a repeatable time-based context that transcends price levels
- Aligning trade plans with recurring behavioral windows
It replaces manual cycle plotting and gives you a forward-looking, auto-adjusting view of market structure based on time. Especially useful when combined with session indicators, volume tools, or market structure overlays.
